Our pharmacy offers a private weight management service designed to provide safe, professional support tailored to your needs. We work with you to:

• Understand your health and lifestyle

• Explore your goals and challenges

• Provide advice on nutrition, activity, sleep, and wellbeing

• Assess if prescription treatment may be suitable for you (all treatment decisions are made by a pharmacist, in line with GPhC standards and UK clinical guidance)

Your Weight

Management Pathway

 

1. Book Your Initial Appointment

• Book your 30-minute initial consultation (in-pharmacy or via secure video) – £40

• Once booked, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing a questionnaire which must be completed before your appointment so we can prepare and keep your care safe

 

2. Initial Consultation

• Review your medical history

• Discuss goals, lifestyle, and challenges

• Consider whether treatment is safe and appropriate

• If medication is started, you’ll also be shown how to use it during a Treatment Checkpoint appointment

 

3. Ongoing Reviews

• InClinic Reviews – monthly face-to-face appointments with your pharmacist before your prescription is supplied

• Online Reviews – monthly secure questionnaire, reviewed by your pharmacist. If needed, we may arrange a free Clinical Query Appointment (15-minute call)

4. Treatment Checkpoints

• If you choose to be reviewed monthly as part of the Online Service you will be required to visit the pharmacy:

  • Before starting treatment – to confirm weight, check suitability, and teach you how to use your medicine (if prescribed)

  • Every 6 months – face-to-face progress check, including weight verification, to ensure your care stays safe and effective

• Free access to trusted advice on nutrition, activity, sleep, and mental wellbeing

• Optional Healthy Heart Check (cholesterol and HbA1c blood tests): ​£25 for weight management patients, normally £40

• Initial consultation – £40

• Pricing for ongoing treatment (if suitable) remains unchanged – from £119 to £209 per month

• Prices vary depending on prescribed medication strength, your pharmacist will explain what applies to you

FAQs​

• Do you prescribe medication for weight management?

  • Yes. If clinically appropriate, our pharmacists may prescribe a licensed treatment as part of your personalised care plan. All treatment options will be discussed with you during your consultation.​

• Can I use the service online?

  • Yes. You can choose secure Online reviews or monthly InClinic appointments. Some checkpoints (before starting treatment and every 6 months) must be in person.​

• Can I switch between online and in-clinic care?

  • Yes, you can switch anytime, or your pharmacist may recommend moving pathways to keep your treatment safe.

• What if I want to change my dose?

  • You can request this in your monthly review. Any changes are at the pharmacist’s clinical discretion to keep treatment safe.

• Are results guaranteed?

  • No. Everyone’s journey is different. We focus on safe, evidence-based care.

• I'm already taking a medication for weight management, can I join your service?

  • Yes. We accept patients who have started their journey with another provider but wish to move their care to ourselves. This will be discussed during your initial appointment.
